Please let this letter serve as an indication of my (our) strong support for the application by Vulcan Materials for underground mining adjacent to its surface mine. Specifically, I (we) support this application because of its importance to the Legacy Trail.

This Trail offers a tremendous opportunity for Lexington and all of central Kentucky to improve the health of its economy, environment, as well as its people!

Please know that a positive vote on Vulcan’s application is critical to this project’s success. It will undoubtedly have a “legacy impact” for all future generations of citizens and visitors to Lexington!
